If you are interested in making the easiest pizza dough in the entire world, look no further. This recipe is not my own, but it is too good not to share. The dough comes out perfectly every time, the perfect fluffy, springy texture without any stickiness. The baked product is crunchy and tender, just how you want a pizza to be. I pre-bake the crusts for an even crispier texture, but you could just dump a bunch of toppings on this dough, bake at 450 degrees and it would be perfect. Don't forget about toppings!! Slowly sauté mushrooms and onions in butter, slice up a beefsteak tomato, dollop some basil pesto, any and everything goes on pizza!
*This recipe makes 1 large, or 3 personal pizza pies.
One (.25 oz) packet of active dry yeast
1 tsp white sugar
1 cup warm water
2 1/2 cups of flour (bread or all purpose)
1 Tbsp olive oil
1 tsp kosher salt
1. In the bowl of a stand mixer, or medium size bowl dissolve yeast and sugar in the warm water. Let sit until yeast activates (around 10 minutes.)
2. Stir in flour, salt, and olive oil. Mix until a smooth dough forms.
3. Let the dough rest for five (or up to 30 minutes).
4. Roll the pizza dough into rounds and bake at 450 for 10-15 minutes or until toppings are golden brown.
